Ranthambore Fort
The 10th century Fort lies within the Ranthambhore National Park area, with its battlements stretching out over the Aravali Hills. Although the interior structures are mostly in ruins, it offers wonderful views of the park and lakes inside the park. The Ganesh Temple, still used and visited by hundreds of worshipers daily can be found within the boundary walls of the fort. The Ranthambhore fort is said to have got its name from two adjoining hills - Rann and Thambhore. The walls of the fort are about 7 kilometers in length and include an area of nearly 4 square kilometers.
