Bhoramdeo is dedicated to the tribal god Bhoram (a form of Shiva). This temple is also known as the “Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh” due to its erotic sculptures. This temple was built during the reign of the Nagavanshi king Gopal Dev and dates back to the 7th-11th century A.D. It lies at the foothills of the Maikal hill range. There is a large lotus covered pond opposite the temple, where boating can be done.
The Bhoramdeo Mahotsav or Festival is held every year in the month of March or April. This festival is celebrated inside the building of Bhoramdeo temple.
