About Bhairawa
Pronounced Bhy-Rawa and formerly called Bethari, the town is also known by its other name of Siddharthanagar. It is laid back too, functional industrial and market town that caters to Lumbini tourists and those crossing the border, but with really nothing else of note. There are a number of shops selling imported western goods, mostly to Indians, and Bhairahawa has a better selection of quality accommodation and eating places than Sunauli.
